Welcome to Oasis Duna

A garden complex of owners, not a hotel

Oasis Duna is a gated residential complex on Calle Maxorata, at the quiet end of Corralejo yet only minutes from the beach and the harbour. It has just over three hundred one- and two-bedroom apartments across three blocks, and every one belongs to a private owner. Many of those owners live here or come back each winter, so it feels like a neighbourhood, not a resort.

The flats on this page are a handful of them. Each has its own photos, its own calendar and its own owner. This page puts them side by side, so you can choose on the view, the floor and the beds, not on who shouted loudest online.

Ground-floor flats open onto the gardens or the pool; first-floor ones have more privacy. A one-bedroom sleeps two, a two-bedroom a family.

Pools and Vibez

The pool area is the heart of the complex. It has an adult pool for slow lengths and water aerobics, and a shallow children's pool with fountains for the little ones. There are plenty of loungers and parasols. Vibez Pool Bar serves drinks and food by the water, Wednesday to Monday, 11:00–19:00.

Everything for the day inside the gates

Makala Minimarket, inside the complex, is open every day from 9:00 to 21:00 (until 15:00 on Sundays). It bakes bread and croissants fresh every morning and stocks the basics. Parking is free, behind the barrier.

The bigger supermarkets and the town centre are a few minutes' walk away.

Questions neighbours get asked

How do we get here from the airport?

Fuerteventura Airport (FUE) is about 40 km away: 35–40 minutes by taxi, roughly €40–55, or by hire car — Cicar and Europcar have desks at the airport. Tiadhe buses run too, with a change in Puerto del Rosario.

Is there parking?

Yes, free parking inside the complex behind a barrier; the flat's key fob opens it. On Tuesdays and Fridays, market days, the streets around fill up early.

Can we use the pools?

Every flat on this page has access. There are two pools — a main one and a shallow children's pool — open 09:00–20:00, and children must be supervised by an adult. Vibez Pool Bar serves drinks and food by the water, Wednesday to Monday, 11:00–19:00.

Which beach is best for small children?

Playa del Moro, sheltered by the dunes, with calm water and a gentle slope. Further out, the La Concha lagoon at El Cotillo (20 km) is shallow and Caribbean-coloured, and the horseshoe bay of Caleta de Fuste (30 minutes) has no current at all.

What is the weather like?

Sunny nearly every day, 20–30 °C depending on the season, with a steady trade wind from the north that makes the heat comfortable — and makes people underestimate the sun. SPF 50 and a hat, especially for children. A few times a year a hot Saharan wind, the calima, pushes temperatures up and turns the sky yellow for a day or three.

Is the complex quiet?

It is a residential complex with families and long-term residents, so it asks for quiet from 21:00 to 09:00 and a siesta pause between 15:00 and 16:30. The apartments and common areas are non-smoking, and sunbeds cannot be reserved with a towel.

What are the apartments like?

Around 50 m², with one or two bedrooms and one bathroom, on the ground or first floor. Every owner furnishes their own, so each flat's page shows exactly what is inside.

Where do we shop?

Makala Minimarket inside the gates is open every day 9:00–21:00 (Sundays until 15:00) and has fresh bread every morning. Hiperdino is five minutes on foot, Lidl ten, Mercadona ten to twelve. Pharmacies are in the town centre; the duty pharmacy changes daily and is listed at corralejo.info.

What can we do in a day?

Isla de Lobos, fifteen minutes by ferry from the harbour — from about €17 return, and it sells out in August. The Corralejo market on Tuesday and Friday mornings. A walk in the dunes before the heat. El Cotillo and its lighthouse. Oasis Park at La Lajita, 45 km south, for a full family day with the animals.

Who do we call in an emergency?

112 for everything, free and 24 hours. Corralejo health centre on Avenida Juan Carlos I, +34 928 86 71 17, Monday to Friday 8–21. The general hospital in Puerto del Rosario, +34 928 86 21 00, has A&E around the clock.

What if the flat we like is taken?

Ask below with your dates. Several owners share this page, and a request goes to whoever has space — that is the point of having one page for the building.

Not sure which?

This is a short enough list that a person can answer it. Write once and we will say which one fits.

Goes to every owner here who is free on those nights. Not a booking – people read it and answer with a price.
